About us
Our home, your retreat
Kia orana
Meet your hosts
Reyden’s Retreat is cared for by Rowena and Eusenio, who live locally and are only a phone call away for anything you need during your stay. Whether it is a restaurant recommendation, help booking a lagoon cruise or a question about the house, just ask.
The house is a quiet, comfortable place to come back to after a day on the island, with a garden full of palms and frangipani, breezy bedrooms and space to cook and relax together.

The story behind the name
Why Reyden's?
Placeholder: add the story behind the name here. Who Reyden is, what the house means to the family, and how it became a place to share with guests.
Caring for our island
Small things that make a difference
Rarotonga is beautiful and fragile. These are a few of the ways we look after it, and how you can help while you stay with us.
Power and water
Most of the island's electricity comes from diesel and water reserves can run low, so we ask guests to switch off lights and fans when out. Hot water comes from the sun.
Recycling and food scraps
Recycling bins are provided, and food scraps are collected in a separate bucket and given to local pig farmers.
Protecting the reef
Please use oxybenzone-free sunscreen and avoid standing on coral. Single-use plastic bags are not allowed in the Cook Islands, so bring a reusable bag for shopping.
A friendly neighbour
Say hello to Te Marama
Our friendly dog Te Marama may pop by from time to time to see who is visiting. She is gentle and curious, but please don’t feed her or let her into the house.
The neighbourhood dogs might bark as you pass, but they are friendly as long as you stay off their properties.
